Tetsuya Nomura

Game Director & Character Designer at Square Enix Co., Ltd.

After joining Square in 1991, Tetsuya Nomura has worked on character design for various video games including world-renowned FINAL FANTASY series. He also shows his talent as a game director in KINGDOM HEARTS series, a collaborative work with Disney. Many characters were newly designed and created for the series by Nomura himself, and all of them honorably joined the hall of fame of Disney characters. FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN, the first CGI film he directed in 2005, was praised for its work and exhibited at Venice International Film Festival by special invitation. He is currently directing KINGDOM HEARTS III and FINAL FANTASY VII Remake.
