J. J. Sedelmaier

J. J. Sedelmaier/J. J. Sedelmaier Productions, Inc. (www.jjsedelmaier.com) is responsible for many of the most talked about animated broadcast productions of the past twenty years.  These include the launch season of MTV’s “Beavis and Butt-Head”, SNL’s “Saturday TV Funhouse”, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim’s “Harvey Birdman – Attorney at Law”, animation for both “The Colbert Report” and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” as well as over 650 TV commercials, animation and design pieces.  J. J. and his creative development/production studio have assisted with corporate branding for major companies like Nickelodeon, SC Johnson, Alka-Seltzer/Bayer, Converse/USA, Adidas and The Chicago Tribune.

These companies as well as many others have found that his design expertise, technological experience and extensive knowledge of popular culture trends and innate branding sensibility make J. J. a unique creative source for sculpting a project.  Along with all of his award-winning film work, J. J. Sedelmaier has won praise as both an independent creative director and designer, has contributed to a multitude of published articles and books on a wide variety of topics — animation, graphic design, architectural history, branding, marketing, pop culture and education, and regularly writes a well-respected design blog for Imprint, the online presence of Print Magazine.

In addition to his prolific creative output, J. J. is also an immensely popular speaker at industry events, corporations, universities, art school graduation commencements, comedy clubs, advertising agencies and on broadcast programs that include CBS “Sunday Morning,” NBC’s “Today” and NPR’s “Fresh Air” with Terry Gross.
