Colleen Doran

Colleen Doran is the New York Times bestselling artist for the Neil Gaiman graphic novel Troll Bridge, and Stan Lee’s autobiography Amazing, Fantastic, Incredible Stan Lee which received a Young Adult Library Services Great Graphic Novels for Teens nomination. Books she has illustrated have won Eisner and Harvey Awards, and the International Horror Guild Award. Art from the Troll Bridge graphic novel was selected for the Spectrum annual collection featuring the best science fiction and fantasy art of the year.

Recent works include American Gods with Neil Gaiman. 2017 will see the release of The Clock with Matt Hawkins for Top Cow at Image Comics, a new project with Red and Transmetropolitan writer Warren Ellis entitled Finality from Line Webtoon, Blue Beetle and other works for DC Comics and Dark Horse. Other current books include issues of the Eisner nominated Faith, Justice League 3001, Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary, and covers for The Walking Dead, Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D., A-Force, Red Sonja, and Squirrel Girl.

On The Vampire Diaries she contributed as writer and artist for the comic based on the hit television show, and was artist on the award-winning graphic novels Mangaman and Gone to Amerikay.

Colleen became a professional artist will still a teenager, and has hundreds of credits. Clients include Lucasfilm, Random House, Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin, Simon and Schuster, and Disney. She has illustrated Amazing Spider-Man, The Teen Titans, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Superman, Sandman, and she is the sole creator of the graphic novel series A Distant Soil for Image Comics, which Vector: The Journal of the British Science Fiction Association declared “groundbreaking science fiction comics…ahead of its time.”
